Kindergarten School

Our school is made up of:

• 3 large and bright sections: HARES, LADYBUGS and KITTENS.
• 3 practical and functional toilet child-sized.
• 1 lounge equipped for games, which transforms into a sleeping room where children find their cot.
• 1 dining room, where the children take turns becoming "servers" of the day.
• 1 internal kitchen, where the cook prepares meals and snacks for the little guests every day. The menu, drawn up by ASL TO5, is divided into summer and winter and is structured over four weeks, so as to be varied and balanced. Our cook is trained to manage certified food intolerances or allergies.

Furthermore, from the 2023/24 school year we have started the SPRING section section for 14 children who have turned 2 years old. The section has a bathroom for exclusive use and dedicated spaces. The teachers carry out a year-long program designed specifically for the little ones: in some moments of the day the children share spaces and games with their older classmates, while in other moments they do it with the children in the Nursery, thus carrying forward the project continuity throughout the educational year.

There are also 2 outdoor spaces, because for us spaces and furnishings represent a precise educational resource:

• 1 green area with plants and equipped with cubes and other games.
• 1 gravel area with houses and various games suitable for exploration and imagination.
• 1 vegetable garden, consisting of three large tubs where students can plant and grow small vegetables and fruit.

Our programming focuses on the needs of children and is based on ministerial indications, divided into projects with specific educational objectives. We have chosen not to embrace a single educational-pedagogical trend, but we prefer to take the best of some of them to offer more points of view and greater possibilities.
The teachers define an annual educational program common to all sections, taking into account the different skills of the children based on the age and uniqueness of each one.
Educational activities take place both in the individual sections and within the laboratories. We develop the logical-mathematical laboratory; motor-game; graphic-pictorial; of words; of English; "The Closet of Stories"; swimming (c/o affiliated facility); theatrical; the Self and the Other and religion; "Crescendo in Sol" (musical workshop); reading aloud.make this section into bullets so it's easier to read. There are too many semicolons!

Other activities are added to these laboratories:

In particular, in the third year of attendance we plan moments of meeting and exchange with the Cambiano primary school. We encourage and support the important transition to primary School through specific workshops and meetings with teachers and pupils of the "Giacomo Grosso" school, in collaboration with the "Rodari" nursery school.

Our school supports the educational alliance with parents: we encourage collaboration with families, so that a climate of mutual esteem, trust and dialogue is created while respecting everyone's roles and functions; we generate opportunities for exchange and sharing through assemblies, class and individual conversations, keeping in mind that the common objective is the growth of the child.
